The African Development Bank has approved $184.1 million in financing for Egypt’s Obelisk project, Africa’s largest solar-storage facility. The project includes 1GW of solar PV + 200MWh BESS in Qena Governorate, set to power over 500,000 homes and support Egypt’s green energy export goals.
