CATL has opened a 1GWh battery storage assembly plant in Kenya, the first Chinese-owned storage manufacturing base in East Africa. The facility will supply high-temperature adapted BESS for off-grid, mini-grid, and C&I projects across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
